A private side project, built for my own use and shared as it is.
How it works
Paste in
Press ⌘V outside the editor or drop a text file. It lands on top as a new section.
Keep it
Two or three panels, each a note or a checklist. A line with --- starts a new section.
Copy out
Click a word or a line to copy it. The icon next to a section copies all of it.

Privacy
Your data
Everything you write stays in your browser. Notes and settings are saved in localStorage, a daily snapshot of your panels in IndexedDB on this device. Nothing is sent to any server.
No tracking
No analytics, no cookies, no requests to external services. All fonts and assets are served locally.
Offline
A service worker keeps the app on your device, so it works without an internet connection. No data leaves your device in this process.
Hosting
txtnote is hosted by a third-party provider. Like any website, the provider may log basic access data such as IP addresses.
⚠ Not a password manager. Do not store sensitive or confidential data.
